Meet Dr. Blanc
Eye care professionals specialize in understanding how the human eye really works, as well as diseases and conditions that affect your vision – many of which do not have obvious symptoms. Eye doctors know how age and risk factors affect vision over time for young and old, and they understand the benefits and features of corrective lenses including eyeglasses and contacts.
Dr. Shirley Blanc is an optometrist in Toronto who takes the time to explain the results of your eye exam, describe your options and listen to your eye care needs. Because maintaining good eye health is an ongoing partnership, we encourage you to ask questions and share your health information, which could be vital to monitoring, diagnosing and treating potential vision problems.
Meet Dr. Blanc:
I have been a practicing optometrist since 2001 with years of experience working in various settings, including private practice catering to all ages, a multi-disciplinary executive medical clinic, and in a laser surgery center performing pre- and post-operative assessments. I pay particular attention to preventative care, patient education, and taking a wellness approach to eye health.
I enjoy finding solutions for an individual's work, school, and lifestyle-based visual needs. In eye care, it is important to address the entire family, and encourage communication with a person's health care team of medical professionals including family physicians and specialists. I work with a network of ophthalmologists of various specialties and provide referrals when necessary.
